"At 5:30 a.m. in Madrid, at the Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial office, Eloy Moreno set out to defeat the previous Guinness World Record for books signed in a single day, which had previously been 6,904 copies," the Penguin Random House says.

"Moreno, an acclaimed author, has a varied audience that ranges from children to teenagers to adults and his fans traveled from far destinations for this once in a lifetime opportunity in Madrid.

"The Sales team was instrumental in preparing all the books to create a seamless and dynamic signing. At 6:00 a.m. the signing kicked off at the PRHGE offices without readers. In the first two hours, Moreno signed 4,000 copies. Moreno then continued signing in the Madrid city center with fans present, some having taken a plane to arrive from the Canary Islands."

"The Castellon writer Eloy Moreno has made history on February 8 and has achieved the Guinness record of book signings in a single day. The author of 'Invisible', the great youthful bestseller against school harassment, has acknowledged that the idea of taking on this challenge arose almost as a game," the ABC Culture says.

"In the last meetings with his readers he realized that I spent four, five or six hours signing and one day I wondered who had the record on the same day. Upon discovering that it existed, I did calculations and thought I could try, Moreno told ABC.

"Writer Vickrant Mahajan set the current mark in 2016 with 6,904 signatures in a 12-hour session in Jammu, India. The Spanish author had to exceed that figure by signing 7,000 books at the same time. But by noon he had already managed to surpass that number, a gesta that they did not imagine in the best essays or forecasts, as recognized by the editorial."

"It was many years signing many hours and one day I came up with the crazy thing about why not make a world record, we saw what it was and said, 'I think we can get it together,' and we've all achieved it,"  the El Mundo reports.

That's how feasible he explained it, when, at 12.45 p.m. yesterday, Saturday, he had just surpassed the international brand to beat: 6,904 books signed in 12 hours. But, accompanied by a physiotherapist throughout the day, he didn't stop there. I feel a little tired, but you have to go on, we have to keep going to take the challenge much higher, he challenged.

"Until 6 p.m., the deadline set by the Guinness World Records, which, with Timary's judge Anouk, sent from London, and four other witnesses, monitored the correct accounting and execution of the historical challenge, also followed simultaneously from a computer, cameras and an unstoppable watch. But the countdown ended with celebration: 11,088 initialled specimens were the ones that the bestseller achieved, rising with the new Guinness World Record."

"The Castellon writer Eloy Moreno has beaten this Saturday the Guinness World Record of books signed after initialling, in less than seven hours, 7,000 copies of his work, a figure that has increased to 11,088 signatures at the end of twelve hours," the La Vanguardia reports.

"Moreno began signing at 5.30 a.m. in the offices of Penguin Random House publishing house, where he stamped his signature on 5,983 books; and at 12 noon he moved to Callao Square, where at 12.53 hours he already rose with Guinness."

In his almost 15 years of career, he has sold more than two million copies, and his most recent work, Redes, has already exceeded 100,000 copies sold in just four months. In addition, Invisible, one of his most beloved novels, continues to triumph thanks to his adaptation as a series on Disney." the FNAC says.

"The Invisible Day, which in 2023 brought together more than 900 people at the Capitol Theatre in Madrid, will be held in a special way with an online reading club worldwide, reaffirming the unique connection that Eloy Moreno maintains with his audience."

"The most books signed by one author in a single session is 6,904, achieved by Vickrant Mahajan (India), in Jammu, India, on 30 January 2016," the Guinness World Records says.
