Minot, North Dakota, United States--Dallas Reese, a collegiate athlete at Minot State University mustered up a solid throw of 29 feet 1.5 inches with a 35 pound object, setting the world record for the Farthest power throw with a 35 pound object, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

According to the World Record Academy's rules, the strictest in the industry, Dallas Reese's  successful world record attempt was supervised by specialists in the field (licensed coach, measurement assistant) and a medical team took the anti-doping test.

"The inspiration for this world record attempt came after I watched a TV show called "The Strongest Man in History". I have been a fan of strongman sports all my life. I idolized Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall," says Dallas Reese.

"There was an episode where they went to Scotland to tryout a few Highland Games events. One of those events was the braemar stone toss.

"It's similar to shot put, but with a heavier emphasis on brute strength and throwing from a power throw position. I was hooked from the start."

"After watching them throw the 28 pound braemar stone, I knew instantly it was something I had to try. It's not very easy to find a rock that weighs 30 pounds lying around.

"Fortunately for me, I had some 35 pound shot puts where I go to college. One day I decided that I was going to be the first person in history to power throw an object that weighs over 30 pounds. On June 17th, 2024 I achieved that dream."

"I waited for this moment for five long years. I was more than prepared for this moment. When it came time i was focused and ready to go.

"The goal was to throw it as close to 30 feet as possible. All of my throws were over 27 feet. I really impressed myself with my performance that day. It truly was something to behold in person."

"Coach Steven Schultz: "Dallas is a hardworking student athlete driven to reach excellence."

Dallas Reese: "For this event I threw a 35 pound shot put on the third floor of the Dome at Minot State University. On the top floor there is an indoor throwing area. I used the shot put ring to carryout each throw.

"I followed the rules for braemar stone throwing. It allows the athlete four throws. The farthest one wins. The athlete must also stay behind the barrier for a legal mark. Once the implement lands it gets measured."

Greetings,

I received my package in the mail this afternoon. It was a pleasure to work with you throughout this whole experience. I look forward to breaking more records with World Record Academy in the future. Until then, thanks for everything.

Best regards,

Dallas

Lewis Reese (father): "Dallas has always been a self driven, goal oriented, unpretentious and thoughtful son. His is also a kind friend and mentor. His attainment of this world record is so consistent with who he is as a person, as much as it is allowing others a peak into how humble he has lived his life.

"As a father I couldn't be more proud of the young man he has become. This world record can never show what a truly remarkable man he is."

Dallas Reese: "I am currently pursuing a degree in graphic design with a minor in film studies. My goal is to become a cartoonist at Marvel Comics one day.

"I also have aspirations of becoming a professional wrestler at All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Once there I could pursue my art career and pro wrestling at the same time. I like to set high goals for myself."

Dallas Reese: "My future plans are to graduate from Minot State University in the Spring of 2025. I might try to break the world record for the 100 pound washing machine toss in the near future.

"The current Guinness World Record is 14 feet 7.2 inches. If I have the time and the resources I could very easily break that record as well. If i want to set another world record I will only do it under World Record Academy. They made my first world record a reality. Therefore I will only refer to them for any world record attempts going forward."
