"The Heyward House, built in 1841, is located in the heart of Bluffton’s Historic District, and serves as the official Welcome Center for the town of Bluffton. Common Ground at the Heyward House is a recently completed outdoor venue space featuring a beautiful wooden pavilion, a brick fire pit, and numerous picnic benches for entertaining."

"The peanut is being built by Jared Jester, Clayton Colleran, Hannah Parrish and other boiled peanut enthusiasts. The peanut is made of pine studs, plywood, chicken wire, standard insulation and closed cell spray foam insulation and exterior paint," the Hilton Head Island Packet says.

"The finished peanut, which has taken 30 days to build, will be more than 20 feet long and will be on display at Cahill's Market after the festival.

""We developed the idea of the 'World's Largest Peanut' to generate interest in the annual festival and to provide awareness for South Carolina's official state snack," Jester said. "We wanted to build something that everyone in this great town would support and to leave a lasting legacy for our annual event."

"The peanut is made of 2x4 pine studs, plywood, chicken wire, standard insulation and closed cell spray foam insulation then finished with three colors of exterior paint. The peanut will be more than 20-feet long," the Bluffton Today says.

"Bluffton Boilers' Jared Jester, Clayton Colleran, Hannah Parrish and other boiled peanut enthusiasts started building the sculpture at the Energy One plant 30 days ago.

"Jester said the idea of the world's largest peanut was developed to generate interest in the annual festival and provide awareness for South Carolina's official state snack."
