"Rhodes 101 Stops convenience stores, a 30-location leader in the convenience store industry, broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest cup/glass of soft drink on National Lemonade Day. The cup’s official height and capacity was measured at 13.74 feet and 4,730.9 gallons," the official website says.

"Rhodes 101 Stops is officially a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title holder. The giant cup currently resides next to the company’s Mercato di Rodi store located at 425 South Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

"Considerations are being made to move the cup to a permanent location in Cape Girardeau where community members and tourists can easily visit. Rhodes 101 Stops is committed to making the cup a landmark that will compliment Cape Girardeau’s tourism industry."

"More than 1,000 Southeast Missouri residents gathered for the reveal of the 15-foot-tall, 3,200-pound cup adorned with the company's logo," the UPI reports.

"We do these things for one reason - it's to reward our loyal customers and celebrate our employees," Rhodes 101 vice president Brent Anderson said. "We are a Rhodes family, we're not just a Rhodes company."

"The world record attempt began with a drink promotion from May 26 to July 31 during which 1 ounce was added to the final size of the record-breaking cup for each drink sold at the convenience store."

"The largest cup/glass of soft drink is 17,908.60 litres (3,939.34 UK gal; 4730.95 US gal), and was achieved by Rhodes 101 Convenience Stores (USA) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, USA, on 20 August, 2017," the Guinness World Records says.

"The cup was filled in just under 3 hours. There were about 8 people working on filling during that time. The flow of water was monitored using the meter on the hose line. The lemonade was distributed to the public immediately following the event."

"We were just at this station in October and the cup is still there where it's always been. You can take a picture with it if you want. I personally get more excited about the clean bathroom and large selection of fountain drinks in the store."
