Las Vegas, Nevada, United States--The minus5 ICEBAR Las Vegas features an indoor bar that’s made entirely of ice; the 1,800-square-foot experience that draws people into frigid drinking quarters for a one-of-a-kind selfie sets the world record for being the World's Largest Permanent Ice Bar, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
"The Ice Bar Las Vegas offers several attractions, making it a unique experience for guests. One of these attractions is the ice sculptures inside the bar itself. There are several sculptures throughout the bar that were hand-carved out of blocks of ice. These include polar bears, penguins, icebergs, and more. There are also many glass sculptures and paintings, all of which were created by local artists and pure Las Vegas talent," the Vegas Food And Fun reports.
"What started 11 years ago as an 800-square-foot concept at the Mandalay Bay has evolved into an 1,800-square-foot experience that draws people into frigid drinking quarters for a one-of-a-kind selfie.
"At night, the Ice Bar transforms into an even cooler place to be because it has a special lighting display that makes it look even more beautiful than during the day. You can also hear music playing throughout the entire bar area at night, which adds to the overall experience of being there."
"Ice Bar Las Vegas is a unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. This bar is made entirely from ice, from the walls to the tables, chairs, and even the glasses that you drink out of," the Vegas Food And Fun reports. Minus5 Ice Bar is a winter wonderland filled with amazing interactive ice sculptures and is hands down the coolest place in Las Vegas to create fun and amazing memories.
"Minus5 Ice Bar is the largest permanent ice bar in the world. Each location is built from 90 tons of ice that have been sculpted into one of the hottest cold venues in Las Vegas. The Minus5 Ice Bar is a completely unique and refreshing experience, especially if you’ve just spent the afternoon in the blazing Las Vegas sun.
"You can chill out (pun intended) at the Ice Bar Las Vegas, where you’ll be surrounded by ice sculptures and frozen drinks. With several locations on the Las Vegas Strip, this bar is a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike. The Ice Bar Las Vegas features an indoor bar that’s made entirely of ice. The bar is temperature controlled to maintain its temperature so guests can enjoy drinks comfortably. While it’s chilly enough inside to wear a warm parka, you will not be sitting there shivering during your stay. The bartenders wear gloves to keep their hands warm and prevent them from dropping any glasses or bottles."
"What started 11 years ago as an 800-square-foot concept at the Mandalay Bay has evolved into an 1,800-square-foot experience that draws people into frigid drinking quarters for a one-of-a-kind selfie," the Reno Gazette Journal reports.
"The all-ages attraction is made of more than 100 tons of 250-pound ice blocks shipped from Canada. That’s where the ice is grown in a tank and aerated of impurities to make it clear as glass.
"It took 12 renowned ice carvers from around the world to chip, saw and carve Icebar's sculptures, furniture and décor. A state-of-the-art temperature monitoring system accounts for ambient temperature, humidity and body temperature to maintain the ice."
"My enjoyed the faux furs and games that were played within the bar. The drinks were great and I was totally impressed w/ everything being made of Ice."
"I have been wanting to come here for years! I finally got to go about a week ago and do the full experience! This place is so cool, and they change it every 1 to 3 years inside so even if you have done it before I encourage you to come back and do it again because it changes! I know I will definitely be back! Me and my friends did the full package, so we even got panda hats which were so cute! I also got the upgrade to the cheetah jacket instead of the regular parka which worked really well for the pictures inside! So once you go inside the whole place is made of ice. Where you sit, the walls, the bar, even the cups that you drink your cocktails out of are made of ice! What an amazing experience!"
"This was definitely a different experience, something fun to try on a warm Vegas day. You are given a large coat to wear and gloves to keep warm - as it's super cold in the bar."
"Everything is made of ice, and it is well decorated - it's fun themed and worth doing at least once. Even the cups are made of ice. The drinks were tasty and there were many options to try. The bartender was fun!
The bar itself isn't huge - when we went the bar was quite empty which made it easier to enjoy/take photos ect. The staff also took a few photos of us. Wear warm shoes is my advice!"
"ICEBAR at The LINQ Promenade is 1,200 square feet, kept at 23-degrees Fahrenheit and made from nearly 100 tons of ice shipped to Las Vegas from Canada and Minnesota," an official press release says.
"Highlights include:
