SACRAMENTO, California, United States--Located at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Sacramento, at the southwest corner of Gateway Park and Arena boulevards, the "Giant Coke Cup with Straw", at three stories tall, sets the world record for being the World's Largest Coca-Cola Cup Sculpture, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
"The building at that address serves as a bottling plant for Coca-Cola products, with distribution across Northern California. The cup feature, at the southwest corner of Gateway Park and Arena boulevards, is well-known to people who drove past it for decades to attend events at the nearby Sleep Train Arena," the Sacramento Business Journal reports.
"Three stories of carbonated bliss -- the giant Coke cup hints that the building is owned by Coca Cola," the Roadside America reports.
"Stop by for a photo op at this giant Coca-Cola cup! At 3 stories tall, you probably wouldn't need a refill...," the Road Trippers reports.

"Built in 1996, it is illuminated at night and located at the south west corner of Arena Way and Gateway Park Boulevard. You can park at the parking lot for the furniture store across the street on the south east corner. The building it is outside of is a Coca Cola bottling plant as well," the Weird California reports.
Coca-Cola, or Coke, is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by the Coca-Cola Company. Originally marketed as a temperance drink and intended as a patent medicine, it was invented in the late 19th century by John Stith Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia.
The drink's name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves and kola nuts (a source of caffeine). The current formula of Coca-Cola remains a closely guarded trade secret; however, a variety of reported recipes and experimental recreations have been published.
The Coca-Cola Company produces concentrate, which is then sold to licensed Coca-Cola bottlers throughout the world. The bottlers, who hold exclusive territory contracts with the company, produce the finished product in cans and bottles from the concentrate, in combination with filtered water and sweeteners.
"The giant, red Coca -Cola cup still refreshes in Natomas."
"You can park across the street from the building with the Coke cup, but look out for the bees in the bushes!"
"Park in the gravel patch across the street for easy photos."
At least it's Classic Coke! Evidently this is a Coca Cola bottling plant or distribution center. It is the only building in this area of any distinction. Can be seen 24 hours a day from the street and is illuminated at night."
