The doctors behind the wheel said they embarked on the more than 3,200-mile drive to raise awareness for first responders and to highlight the importance of emergency medical services education."

"The longest journey by an ambulance is 5,203 km (3,233 miles), and was achieved by Michael Mclean, Jacqueline Grange, Erik Axene, Symbiosis Ambulance, and Axene Continuing Education (all USA) between Hollywood, California, USA and Hollywood, Florida, USA, from 1 March to 10 March 2025," the Guinness World Records says.

"The route was driven by a California licensed vintage 1970s Cadillac Ambulance."

"The oldest licensed ambulance in the United States earned a Guinness World Record when two men drove it more than 3,200 miles from Hollywood, Calif., to Hollywood, Fla.," the UPi reports.

"The 1972 Cadillac ambulance took the cross-country journey with a team from Symbiosis Ambulance and Axene Continuing Education, an emergency medical service non-profit.

"The team said their journey, which began March 1 and came to a close Monday, aimed to raise awareness of the importance of emergency medical services education."
