West Palm Beach, Florida, United States--The new world record for the Largest Gathering of People in Dinosaur Costumes consists of 468 people, and was achieved by The Cox Science Center and Aquarium and The City of West Palm Beach at Clematis Street in West Palm Beach, Florida, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

"The Cox Science Center and Aquarium teamed up with the City of West Palm Beach to take on the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs at West Palm Beach's Screen on the Green," the UPI reports.


""WE DID IT," the museum said on social media. "Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible. Especially the City of West Palm Beach and each one of you who came out to make history with us! We couldn't have done it without you all."


"A Guinness World Records adjudicator confirmed the Florida attempt took the title with 468 participants."

"The largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs consists of 252 people, and was achieved by Elton Castee and TFIL (both USA) in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 26 January 2019," the Guinness World Records says.

"All participants wore inflatable full-body dinosaur costumes."

"The City of West Palm Beach is setting a new record in the Guinness World Record book," the WSVN reports.

"The Cox Science Center put a dent in the Guinness World Record book for having the largest gathering of people dressed as dinosaurs.

"On Friday night, 468 “dinosaurs” showed up, beating a previous record of 250."

"The Largest Gathering of People in Dinosaur Costumes consists of 468 people, and was achieved by The Cox Science Center and Aquarium and The City of West Palm Beach at Clematis Street in West Palm Beach, Florida on January 10th, 2025," the official website says.


"Thank you to everyone who participated! For those who participated, please stop by the Cox Science Center to pick up a certificate of participation, a patch and stickers celebrating the event."

"Hundreds of people dressed up as dinosaurs as the Cox Science Center and Aquarium and the City of West Palm Beach collaborated in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed in dinosaur costumes," the MSN reports.

"A representative from Guinness World Records announced that they had indeed broken the record, with 468 people dressed as dinosaurs. The previous world record had been 252 people.


"Four-hundred-sixty-eight participants donned dinosaur costumes, head to toe, transforming the street into a lively Jurassic scene. Following the world record attempt, the evening included a special showing of "Jurassic Park" on the big screen, celebrating the Cox Science Center and Aquarium’s Dinosaur Safari exhibit, which is now open to the public."
