Miami, Florida, United States--A group of six Cuban sisters, residing in South Florida, have a combined age of 575 years; the sisters: Teresa Rios, 106; Lidia, 99; Adelaida, 95; Olga, 94; Antonia, 93; and Nancy, 85 years old, set the new world record for the Highest combined age of six living siblings, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

"A group of six Cuban sisters, residing in South Florida, may soon make their way into the Guinness World Records for having a combined age of 575 years," the Cuban Headlines reports.


"These women have exceeded all expectations and, despite not yet having the necessary documentation to confirm it, could surpass the current record holders, a group of sisters in Missouri with a total age of 571 years.

"These remarkable Cuban grandmothers gathered to celebrate a historic moment—the 106th birthday of Teresa Ríos, the eldest of the González sisters. Joined by Lidia (99 years), Adelaida (95 years), Olga (94 years), Antonia (93 years), and Nancy (85 years), Teresa's birthday celebration was a testament to the love and unity that has characterized this family for decades."

"A group of six Cuban sisters, residents of South Florida, may be about to enter the Guinness World Records for having a combined age of 575 years. "Accompanied by Lidia (99 years old), Adelaida (95 years old), Olga (94 years old), Antonia (93 years old), and Nancy (85 years old), Teresa's birthday celebration was a reflection of the love and unity that has characterized this family over the decades.


"Over the years, these sisters have celebrated each birthday and significant family events together, overcoming difficult moments like the pandemic, which prevented some family gatherings."

"The highest combined age of six living siblings is 570 years and 40 days, and was achieved by the Overall siblings: Norma (b. 5 February 1923), Lorene (b. 13 July 1925), Maxine (b. 1 November 1926), Doris (b. 13 June 1930), Margaret (b. 12 July 1933) and Elma (b. 10 July 1935) (all USA), as verified on 6 March 2024," the Guinness World Records says.

"The sisters have lived through many significant events in the past nine decades, including the Great Depression and World War II and incredible changes in technology."

"Six South Florida sisters could be making the record books and there are a “number” of reasons why. Heather Walker explains in tonight’s 7 Spotlight," the WSVN says.


"These six sisters have a combined age of more than 500 years! They came together Saturday to celebrate Teresa Rios’ 106th birthday. Sisters: Lidia, 99. Adelaida, 95. Olga, 94. Antonia, 93. And the baby of the bunch — Nancy — who is 85 years old.


"Over the decades the sisters have remained close. They celebrated all of Teresa’s milestone birthdays from 100 through 105 together — with the exception of her 102nd birthday — which was canceled because of COVID."

"Stefani Green/Teresa’s granddaughter: “I asked her how she’s feeling turning 106 and she says she feels amazing. You know, thanks to God, she’s in good health and she’s feeling great. It’s an honor for me as her granddaughter to have her. She’s the epitome of love, nurturing, strength," the WSVN reports.


"Stefani Green: “We do this every year and we can’t believe that it’s another year it’s like ‘Oh 100, oh 101’ and now we’re at 106. So I think, this is a year we’re like, ‘Wait, there must be some kind of record and that’s when we started collecting information and just adding all the numbers up.”

"The family emailed 7News with the subject line: ‘The six oldest living siblings in the world living here in Miami.’ Their total combined age once you add the months and days is 575 years! The Guinness World Record is currently held by six sisters from Missouri. Their combined verified age — 571 years."

"In South Florida, six Cuban sisters could make history and appear in the Guinness World Records. These women, who together have an impressive number of years, recently reunited to celebrate a special milestone: the 106th birthday of Teresa Ríos, the eldest of the group," the Babalu Blog reports.


"The González sisters, who collectively account for more than 500 years of life, are a living example of longevity and family unity.
Teresa Ríos, the matriarch, turned 106, followed by her sisters Lidia (99), Adelaida (95), Olga (94), Antonia (93), and the youngest, Nancy, aged 85.


"The six sisters are part of a family of 12 siblings, all born in Cuba. Stefani recalled the transition they faced when they emigrated from Cuba to the United States, a process that was long and complicated for the family, but ultimately kept them united."
