Bucharest, Romania--The Christmas market called "Laminor Winter Wonderland", in Bucharest, Romania, has an indoor area of 72,000 sqm, a width of 180 meters and a length of 400 meters; on the outside, it is hosting a ride in the 33-meter-high Ferris wheel, as well as attractions such as hot air balloons and a themed carousel; over 150 gift areas and numerous spaces dedicated to gastronomy, being organized both indoors and outdoors, with free access, helps the market to set world record for being the World's Largest Indoor Christmas Market, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
"The Laminor Hall in Sector 3 is preparing to transform again this year, into the long-awaited "Winter Wonderland", as real as it is spectacular," the official press release says.
"Residents of District 3 Bucharest and beyond are invited to enter the atmosphere of the winter holidays at the fairy tale fair "Laminor Winter Wonderland". The fair will be organized in Hala Laminor, a space with its own history, generous enough to host a winter story."
"This year's event stands out through five spectacular themes, offering a unique Christmas celebration experience," the official press release says.
"Once at Hala Laminor, visitors will be prompted to walk through five miniature "wonderlands" corresponding to different cultural experiences of living the magic of Christmas nowadays:
"At the end of the itinerary, there is the very residence of Santa Claus, established for several weeks at Hala Laminor.
"Those who venture on this journey will know for sure that they have arrived at Santa's residence because it will benefit from a 9-meter tall statue, a landmark in the generous space dedicated to the fair.
"A train will also run along the route of Santa Claus' residence that will take passengers to the much-desired destination."
"Among the attractions prepared for visitors is an impressive 33-meter high Ferris wheel, hot air balloons and a themed carousel," the official press release says.
"Children will also have special moments, with creative workshops that will bring the magic of the holidays closer to the little ones.
"Also, the fair will host over 150 gift areas and numerous spaces dedicated to gastronomy, being organized both indoors and outdoors, with free access."

"The fair will be held on the premises of the historical Laminor Hall, located on Bulevardul Besarabia no. 256. Access to the fair is free.
"The list of attractions for children and adults includes different dedicated areas where children and adults can feel the atmosphere of the winter holidays: a carousel, party bus, creative workshops on various themes (decorations, Virtual Reality), theatre performances for children and teenagers."
"During the fair, which hosts gift areas and numerous spaces dedicated to gastronomy, being organized both inside and outside, concerts and workshops for children will take place," the Romanian News Agency AGERPRES reports.
"Among the indoor and outdoor attractions prepared for visitors are Santa's residence, a 33-meter-high panoramic wheel, hot air balloons, a themed carousel and the ice rink.
"The general schedule of the "Laminor Plaza Winter Wonderland", which will be open until January 7, is from Monday to Wednesday, from 15:00 to 23:00, and from Thursday to Sunday from 12:00 to 24, 00."
"With an area of 72,000 sqm, a width of 180 meters and a length of 400 meters, but also with an interesting history of almost a century (it is, moreover, a heritage building), Hala Laminor is slowly, slowly being restored the community," Robert Negoita, the Mayor of District 3 Bucharest, says on his Facebook page.
"It was taken over by PS3, through its own company, Algorithm Construct, which bought it, and in the 4 years of work we managed to save it from the brink and rehabilitate it.
"The works also covered the underground area, where we will provide a parking lot with approximately 1,500 spaces."
"The fair will include 5 themed areas this year: the North Pole area, the Magic Forest area, the Tropical Xmas area, the Circus Xmas area and the Iceland area. Santa Claus will benefit from his own residence, but also from a statue almost 9 meters high," the Libertatea reports.
"To get to Santa's village you have to go through all the realms. On November 29, the ice rink will also open in the outer area of the fair.

"At the Christmas market, visitors will also experience a 33-meter high Ferris wheel, hot air balloons, a train line on the route of Santa's residence, 150 gift areas, a themed carousel, as well as various areas with food. Also, during the fair, there will be workshops for the little ones, dedicated to Santa."
"The beginnings of the Laminor Hall, with an area of 68,000 square meters, are linked to the year 1936, with the establishment of the Malaxa Factories, transformed in the year of communism into the 23 August Enterprise," the ALGORITHM CONSTRUCTII S3 S.R.L. says.
"After 1990, the objective was known as Uzinele Faur and rightly considered, today, a historical landmark of industrial architecture on the territory of Sector 3.
"For the vitalization of the Laminor Hall, in an area of 68,000 square meters, it was proposed to convert it into a multi-functional complex by: restoring, consolidating, interior design of the hall and on all sides platforms intended for pedestrian traffic, car access for serving and parking on the east side, the extension of the Dudești-Pantelimon road to the south, the development of a representative urban market."
