Scottsdale, Arizona, United States--Pure Pickleball have announced their plans to create a huge pickleball facility which will be having 50 courts, a 1,200 seat championship arena and a 190,000 square foot facility in Scottsdale, Arizona; the facility is scheduled to open in 2026 and will set the new world record for the World's Largest Pickleball Facility, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

"Pickleball continues to witness tremendous growth and the sport has crazy potential for growth still. Pure Pickleball have announced their plans to create the largest pickleball facility in the world which will be having 50 courts, a 1,200 seat championship arena and a 190,000 square foot facility in Scottsdale, Arizona," the Times Now News reports.

"PURE Pickleball is creating what will likely be the gold standard for pickleball facilities. The proposed site is located in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is spread over an area of 11 acres. USA Pickleball, the governing body behind the sport is willing to relocate their headquarters and training center there from a nearby hotel.


"From what a governing body is run by a staff of just three people, they have 40 individuals working there, and a new facility is needed to accommodate everyone."

"According to reports, phase 1 of the facility will see 28 oversized (34’x64’) indoor pickleball courts being inaugurated and there will be high-quality video cameras around them for streaming matches or recording games," the Times Now News reports.


"The centerpiece is a first-of-its-kind Championship Court (50’x70’) with a wrap-around 500-seat stadium and state-of-the-art production capabilities for televised matches. A further 16 outdoor courts have been proposed, along with other luxurious amenities."

"Kevin J Berk and Brett Warner, founders of PURE Pickleball & Padel, plan to build the world’s largest indoor pickleball facility in Arizona. Here’s what they shared with ABC15 about the massive project in the works," the ABC 15 Arizona reports.


"“Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the country. [In the] last four years, one out of five Americans played it last year. There is no hotter community for playing this sport than Scottsdale, Arizona, and so building the largest indoor pickleball facility in Scottsdale makes sense.


"Being the host site for national-level tournaments is part of the plan, and we're going to be showcasing the sport for all ages, all skill levels, all the way up to the pros, and will be the home of the AZ Drive Pro Team for Major League Pickleball,” said Warner.

"The world’s largest indoor pickleball facility is slated to open in Scottsdale in 2026. PURE Pickleball & Padel will be part of the larger Riverwalk development. It will span more than 11 acres and include more than 50 indoor and outdoor courts, a championship court, a pro shop, and entertainment facilities," the Scottsdale.com says.

"PURE was co-founded by Kevin J. Berk, previously founder and president of AZ On The Rocks, and Brett Warner, a five-time national pickleball champion, ranked #45 in pro men’s singles, coach of the Scottsdale Scorchers in the Arizona Pickleball League, and co-founder of equipment and apparel company CRUSH Pickleball.

Berk, and David Warner signed a joint venture agreement with Caliber (Nasdaq: CWD; CaliberCos Inc.) to jointly develop an 11-acre site that is widely considered to be at the epicenter of the most active player community in the sport,"  the USA Pickleball says.


"Caliber, a real estate investor, developer, and manager, is creating a Qualified Opportunity Zone fund for the single purpose of investment in this business, which means qualified investors will be able to invest in this pickleball venture directly or via Caliber’s diversified funds.


“Caliber has a rich history of investing in communities by developing properties and destinations that meet their growing needs,” said Brian Snider, Senior Vice President, Real Estate for Caliber. “The demand for pickleball continues to exceed all expectations. We are very excited to be a part of this project and believe there is strong interest in the opportunity to invest in such a promising venture. We see opportunity for growth in this concept nationwide.”

"Phase 1 includes 28 over-sized (34’x64’) indoor pickleball courts featuring post-tension construction and premium cushion surfacing. All courts will be privately gated and fenced with professional indirect lighting and high-quality video cameras for streaming matches or recording games," the USA Pickleball says.


"At center stage, is a first-of-its-kind Championship Court (50’x70’) with a wrap-around 500-seat stadium and state-of-the-art production capabilities for televised matches. Other infrastructure under the roof will include a pro shop, café, men’s and women’s locker rooms and private event spaces.

"Additional phases include 16 outdoor courts with professional direct lighting, a member clubhouse with restaurant and bar, two rooftop courts for special events, member locker rooms and in-demand amenities, full gym, childcare and after-school tutoring services, and complementary commercial concepts to be announced."
