New York City, New York, United States--The Chick-fil-A opened on Fulton Street in Lower Manhattan, New York City, has five floors, including a basement kitchen, three floors of seating, and a rooftop deck; there's space for 140 guests, a high-tech ordering service, floor-to-ceiling windows, and private meeting areas, thus setting the world record for being the World's Largest Chick-Fil-A, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
"The restaurant, which takes up an entire building on Fulton Street, has five levels: a basement kitchen where everything is made from scratch daily, counter service on the first floor, and three levels of seating, one of which is a rooftop deck," the Business Insider reports.
"Food is served on the first floor. Guests can also order and pay in advance — and skip the line — using the Chick-fil-A One app.
"The restaurant even includes a semi-private meeting area, with floor-to-ceiling windows lighting up the space. The franchisee-owned restaurant is operated by downtown resident Luke Cook and employs more than 150 team members."
"Chick-fil-A is one of the largest American fast food restaurant chains[3] and the largest specializing in chicken sandwiches. The company is headquartered in College Park, Georgia. Chick-fil-A operates 2,875 restaurants, primarily in the United States.
"The chain has locations in 49 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The company also has operations in Canada, and previously had restaurants in the United Kingdom and South Africa. The restaurant serves breakfast before transitioning to its lunch and dinner menu. Chick-fil-A also offers customers catered selections from its menu for special events.
"Chick-fil-A's business strategy involves a focus on a small menu and on customer service. While many fast food chains often expand their menu offerings to attempt to attract new customers, Chick-fil-A's business model is to remain focused on selling chicken sandwiches.[30] The name capital A is meant to indicate that their chicken is "grade A top quality". In addition, an emphasis on customer service has allowed Chick-fil-A to consistently lead the fast food industry in customer satisfaction. These factors are seen as the reason for Chick-fil-A's massive growth in the United States."
"Their website states, "The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our Restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect –regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender." (wikipedia)
"The five-story restaurant, complete with a rooftop terrace, officially opened in New York City’s Financial District on Thursday. Over 12,000 square feet, the Fulton Street Chick-fil-A is nearly twice the size of any existing Chick-fil-A restaurant.
"With floor-to-ceiling windows on each level, there's three levels of dining with seating for 140 guests and two kitchens. A staircase with a skylight will lead you to a rooftop terrace that offers views of One World Trade Center.
"Luke Cook, born and raised in Hammond, Louisiana has been part of the Chick-fil-A family for over ten years. He began his journey with Chick-fil-A as a team member at Hamilton Mill FSR in the Atlanta metro area, owned and operated two Chick-fil-A restaurants in PA and LA, and has served in multiple capacities as a consultant on panels at the Chick-fil-A Support Center.
"Luke and his wife, Mandy have two beautiful daughters Emma, 7 and Olivia, 5. In his spare time, Luke enjoys reading books, working out, and drinking coffee with friends. Luke and his family are excited to be bringing Chick-fil-A to Lower Manhattan and can’t wait to share the love of chicken with everyone they meet." (official website)
"It was a very very busy lunch time but the queuing system was so efficient. Servers were taking orders whilst you were queuing and by the time we got to the front, our food was ready. I enjoyed the criss cross chips and my sister thought her chicken burger was delicious. We were fascinated by all the different sauces you can get, Polynesia? Overall, the food was great!"
"Great food the fish sandwich has a unique taste. Usually has a line that will move quickly. If the line long they take your order while waiting in line and it’s ready when you get there."
"Once my tween boys found out the world's largest Chick-fil-A was in Manhattan, they made coming here high on their respective NYC wish lists. We came here twice- once for lunch and once for breakfast. Breakfast was walk-up service and lunch was out of door. When the line was out the door, employees were ready with iPads taking orders and the line moved relatively quickly. The food was consistent with the great quality we get from our home Chick-fil-A."
"Having worked for CFA for a few years, I was interested to see if the CFA vibe extended into NYC and it did! The staff was incredibly kind, food was delicious and hot and our order was correct! My kids loved the 3 story CFA and it’s easy to get to from the subway!"
"I find chic fil a burgers always juicy and tender and quite tasty. I prefer the crispy to the grilled flavor wise. Give them a try."
"Great food, amazing service, and they have a rooftop with amazing views! The food is always good, and employees are always VERY nice, just be prepared to wait 10-15 mins in line."
