NEW YORK CITY, New York, United States--Steinway Tower, or 111 West 57th Street, has a height-to-width ratio of 24:1, which is a new new world record for the World's skinniest skyscraper / most slender skyscraper in the world, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
111 West 57th Street, also known as Steinway Tower, is a super tall residential skyscraper in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Developed by JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group, it is situated along Billionaires' Row on the north side of 57th Street near Sixth Avenue.
"Steinway Tower skyscraper is a powerful statement, tapering elegantly but dramatically from its tip. A triplex penthouse overlooking Central Park sits at the top, the CNN reports.
"The architects said their main goal was to create a new and bold interpretation of the New York skyline, while also celebrating the location's historic roots."
"The newly finished development, which overlooks Central Park, features 60 apartments - starting at $7.75million for a studio unit. The penthouse apartment is listed for $66million, the Daily Mail reports.

The GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the most slender tower has a slenderness ratio of 47.61, is named the Top o' Texas Tower, situated at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, Texas, USA, and opened on 27 September 2013.
GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS also recognized the world record for the tallest twisted tower is the Shanghai Tower, located in Shanghai, China. This mixed-use building is 632 m (2,073 ft) tall, and its 128 floors twist a total of 120 degrees between the ground floor and the roof.
